At Ledbury Primary School, we believe that school life should be full of opportunity, curiosity and fun. Our range of clubs gives pupils the chance to try new activities, develop new skills and build friendships beyond the classroom.

From creative clubs to active, sporty and imaginative opportunities, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Our clubs are designed to help children grow in confidence, discover their interests and make the most of their time at school.

All clubs are bookable from 9am on Thursday 3rd September. All clubs are free except Jamcoding- please use the link to book this club.

3D Printing Club – Selected children invited by Miss Kench will be able to join this club, starting later in the term to allow for preparation. The children will take part in a possible three projects of using Tinkercad on the iPads to design a component which will then be 3D printed for the children to evaluation and engage with the following week. Some examples of design could be rulers, models, holders etc. This is a great club for children interested in design with technology. I will let parents of the children invited know soon.

 

Allotment Club- Children will learn how to plant, grow and take care of a variety of fruit and vegetables at our on-site school allotment.

 

Boys Football Club – Boys will build on prior knowledge of football whilst also welcoming children that are new to the sport. Through structured training sessions and matches, children will build that sense of teamwork as well as competitive spirit and drive.

 

Code club- Web and app design workshops which will show children how to design and create their own website. Working in teams, our web developers will have fun planning and constructing an engaging website and app based on a topic that they are interested in.

 

Code club KS1 – children will learn how to code simple programs using the Scratch Jnr app.

 

Community Club gives pupils the chance to take responsibility for looking after and improving our school through practical projects such as tidying shared spaces, planting, and helping to make the school environment better for everyone. It also encourages pupils to think about the wider community, finding ways to help others and contribute positively to local life, for example by litter picking in the community, speaking to Town Councillors or visiting care homes. Through this club, pupils develop pride, teamwork, initiative and a strong sense of responsibility.

 

Community Theatre Club – Children will work towards a community theatre performance at Ledbury Market Theatre in celebration of the poet and writer John Masefield.  In addition to the Thursday afternoon club, Children will need to be able to attend rehearsals at Ledbury Market Theatre on Sunday 1st November at 2.00pm and Wednesday 4th November at 6.00 pm as well as the performances on the evenings of Friday 6th and Saturday 7th November.

Connect & Create Club is a fun and relaxed opportunity for children to build friendships, develop social skills and enjoy spending time together through games, puzzles and creative activities.

Activities may include board games, card games and puzzles, as well as creative projects such as friendship bracelets, crochet and other crafts. Children will also be encouraged to share their own interests and skills, giving them opportunities to teach and learn from one another.

 

Drama Club – a club for budding actors and actresses. Children will decide on a production, take on a role, rehearse, design costumes and sets before performing their creation at the end of the 10 weeks.

 

Duplo and Lego Club- A fun and creative club where Reception children can build, create and explore using LEGO and DUPLO. Children will have the opportunity to develop their imagination, problem-solving, fine motor skills and teamwork as they follow challenges, build their own ideas and work together to create exciting models.

Each session will include a mixture of free building, themed challenges and collaborative activities, encouraging children to be creative and proud of their creations.

 

Girls Football Club – Girls that join this football club will learn the fundamentals of football such as passing (with the inside of their boot), shooting (with the laces of their boot) and tackling safely. Children will be working with peers from different year groups to form friendships and interact with different ages.

 

Horrible Histories – Children will watch carefully selected clips from the Horrible Histories television series (PG rated) that explores a specific period in history. They will then take part in a range of creative and collaborative activities designed to deepen their understanding and bring their historical learning to life.

 

Jamcoding- web design

During the club, children will:

Design and build their very own website from scratch while learning the fundamentals of HTML and CSS. Along the way they'll add text, images, colours, buttons, links and multiple pages, creating a website they can be proud of while developing valuable coding and problem-solving skills.

To round off the course, everyone will showcase their completed websites, and the winning team will be awarded the Jam Coding trophy!

All sessions are fully supervised by a trained Jam Coding instructor.

Nature and Eco Club has a peaceful and mindful vibe which will encourage children to feel connected to nature and reflect on how we can come together as a community to enjoy and protect our natural world. Activities will include forest bathing, sound and sensory meditation, foraging, identifying plants and animals and basic site maintenance. In later sessions we will also learn how to build a camp-fire and enjoy some outdoor cookery.

 

Puzzles and Playtime Club- An opportunity for children to complete a range of puzzles tailored to their ability and interests. Children will also be given the chance to play in the continuous provision in Reception, choosing from a range of small world, construction and activities to enhance their fine and gross motor skills.

 

STEM Club offers children an exciting opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics through hands-on, creative experiences. Alongside practical STEM challenges, children will also spend valuable time in Forest School, where they can design, build, experiment and create using natural materials and the resources around them. These sessions aim to encourage curiosity, problem-solving, teamwork and resilience, while giving children the freedom to learn through play and discovery.

 

Young Voices Club is an incredible opportunity for children to be part of the world's largest school choir, performing alongside thousands of other pupils and professional artists at Birmingham Resorts Arena. Over the term, children will learn songs and actions before coming together with thousands of other young singers to perform for family and friends at our January 2027 concert. The taking part gives children a sense of achievement and belonging, allowing them to work towards a shared goal, create lasting memories, and experience the excitement of performing in front of a large audience.
