Music

Music plays an important part in the life of Ledbury Primary School!

Due to the national guidance regarding singing in large groups, we have had to take a creative approach to our music curriculum this year.  Amazingly, this has resulted in there being even MORE music in the air at Ledbury Primary School this year!  As well as specially adapted music lessons taught through the Charanga music scheme, every class across the whole school partakes in daily Music Appreciation.  Each week we listen to five pieces of music themed around a particular artist/composer, genre, instrument or decade/era.  As of January, in accordance with the guidance, we hope to begin socially distanced singing assemblies too.

As well as the music taught by our amazing team of teachers, there are also opportunities for individual instrumental tuition available to all our pupils.  Clarinet, drums, flute, violin, cello and piano are a few examples.  Please contact our team of staff at the front reception if you have any queries regarding instrumental tuition.
