Tapestry

The first year of your child’s school life is a very important one. They often make a great deal of progress in a very short time.  In order to record this progress, and to keep you informed of it, we use an online learning journal called, Tapestry.  This is a platform that we use to record observations of the activities they have been engaged in both with an adult and by themselves. These observations will usually have a relevant assessment attached to them.  We do this in order to monitor the progress and achievement of all children and to make sure they are moving in the right direction.  You are able to access this online journal and see the photographs we have posted of your child at school. At the same time you will be able to add photographs of activities and anecdotes of things you do at home, make comments about school achievements and communicate with us. At the end of the year you will be able to print this learning journey and keep it as a record of their first year in school.

The children love to share what they have been doing at home!
