Welcome to Year 1!

Mr Banks, Mrs Clarke and Mrs Went teach in Year 1 with Miss Mitchell, Miss Smith, Mrs Holden-Hall and Miss Cotton.
 

Our topic this year is...…..       Up in the Air

Science sessions will be held every Friday afternoon.

PE will be on Thursday and children can wear their PE kits all day.

Forest School takes place every Monday afternoon. Children should wear their own clothes all day and bring wellies and a coat.

Homework for Year 1 takes the form of regular reading at home, learning spelling lists ready for the spelling quiz each Friday and counting. 

Reading is encouraged every night. Please help us to learn about your children's progress by recording each read in their Pupil Planner. At the moment we change the reading books every Friday.
