Autumn

This term's topic is: Stone Age to Iron Age

In English we will be starting the term looking at the story of the discovery of the Lascaux caves and their amazing cave paintings. Our focus for this writing will be setting description and using specific vocabulary to create atmosphere. We will continue to ensure that a range of punctuation is being used and ask you to look out for all types of punctuation in any reading you do.

In Maths we will spend this half term making sure we have a secure understanding of the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Moving into the second half term we will be focussing on fractions, decimals and percentages. Having a real grasp on times table facts makes the learning of these new concepts quicker. Please keep practising these at home everyone.

On a Monday we continue to have our SPAG and STEM lessons which always get our brains going on a Monday morning.
