Ledbury Primary School home learning using Microsoft Teams

We are pleased to be using Microsoft Teams as our Virtual Learning Platform. Here children will be able to access all of their daily work as well as finding support from their teacher.

Please use the video support guide and PDF documents below to help you get started on Microsoft Teams. If you have any questions or problems, get in touch with your child's class teacher.

Getting started on Microsoft Teams

Does my child need to attend lessons at a particular time?

Children need to attend a morning and afternoon registration session on zoom. Lessons will be set on Teams and may include video lessons, powerpoints and sometimes live lessons. Although we suggest you try to stagger the work throughout the day as usual with plenty of breaks, you can complete the work at any time that day.

Do I need to print worksheets?

Sometimes, if you would like to. Teachers will add a range of resources including video links, worksheets and online quizzes. Many worksheets can be completed on plain paper. Some work will be added as an editable word document that children can add to online and then submit. Teachers may also set online quizzes as an additional or alternative piece of work.

Do I need a laptop?

No. You can access Teams on a laptop, tablet or mobile phone. Please contact us if you need a device.

Do I need to help my child with their work?

Initially your child may benefit from your support to navigate the work. As they get used to the technology, older children may be able to work more independently. Teachers have a drop in session on zoom everyday from 11-12 where children (or parents!) can go to for individual help and support.

For any paper copies requests for any of the documents on the website free of charge, please contact the school office.
